Under Republic Act No. 7323, as amended by RA 9457 and RA 10917 — implemented by Calamba City IIPESO in partnership with DOLE.
SPES is administered by the Calamba City IIPESO in partnership with DOLE. It creates work opportunities for qualified students during school breaks, placing them in city government departments while providing income to support their studies.
Open to students, out-of-school youth, and dependents of displaced or low-income workers who need financial support to continue their education.
The government covers part of the beneficiary's wage. Students complete 160 required work hours (about 20 eight-hour working days) in their assigned city government department.
Beneficiaries are deployed in batches during summer or semestral break so employment won't conflict with their classes.
Follow these four steps to become a SPES beneficiary under Calamba City IIPESO.
Verify that you meet the age, enrollment, income, residency, and grade requirements before applying.
Gather your birth certificate, school registration form, class schedule, grades, and proof of financial need (ITR, BIR Tax Exemption, or Barangay Certificate of Indigency).
